Story Treatment/Elevator Pitch

It's been 24 years since the Master Computer had been dismantled. Since then both the virtual and actual world have lived in relative peace and harmony. Today people visit the ENCOM corporation to take a virtual tour through high tech programming in order to see how the Tron program regulates and contains harmful virus's from entering the public computer mainstream. But while visitors prepare for what is scheduled to be a routine tour of the Tron program, Tron sets off a warning. Visitors soon learn that while the mainframe of the Master Computer was destroyed, a back up file had been created in anticipation of such events. Since it's destruction, the Master Computer's secondary file has been sending personalized viruses out into the World Wide Web to obtain power and information to rebuild the Master Computer. In the final stages of its reconstruction, the Master Computer is preparing a final entourage of viruses to hack into the world technology leaders computer mainframes to collect information. If the viruses succeed the Master Computer will then have a complete dictatorship over today's technology. Nuclear power plants, electrical facilities in all major cities, everything would be able to be manipulated by the Master Computer; it could hold the world hostage to its demands. It's now up to the visitors to team up with Tron and destroy the reemerging Master Computer before it becomes too large to contain.
